FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything guests usually ask before booking their 6 1/2 Avenue tour.

What is an immersive gaming tour?

It's one-of-a-kind! When you put on the AR headset, you'll be immersed in a digital landscape in real life and be able to interact with the world around you by spray painting the walls, throwing paint balls, and more. You'll compete in mini games and interact with a world hidden within our own. Along the way, your licensed New York City tour guide will give you the history of graffiti in NYC, teach you how to design your own tag, and make the most out of this unique experience. No two tours are the same!

What is Augmented Reality? Is it the same as Virtual Reality?

Augmented Reality (AR) adds digital elements to the real world through a special hi-tech headset. Unlike Virtual Reality where you are fully in a digital environment, AR allows you to actually walk the streets and see the world in front of you, with layers of interactive visuals and effects placed on top of it.

What if I've never used AR before?

No experience needed! AR adds digital elements to the real world while still letting you stay fully aware of your surroundings. The experience is both comfortable and easy to adjust to, even if you've never tried AR before. Your guide will help you get set up and make any adjustments along the way so you can enjoy the experience at your own pace.

How long is the tour?

The full AR tour experience lasts approximately 60 minutes, depending on your pace and how much time you spend at each installation. We also encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can get you set up and feeling comfortable.

Where does the tour start?

135 West 55th Street, New York, NY, USA, 10019 New York, US. Enter through the golden doors and walk to the other end of the hall to find your GLO guide and the black GLO cart.

What do I need to bring?

As little as possible! All AR headsets and equipment are provided as part of the tour, and it's encouraged to not bring a bag so you can focus on exploring the digital world.

What if I have glasses?

Eye glasses are not recommended. Although we have a limited number of single vision corrective lenses available, we encourage you to wear contact lenses if possible.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the entire tour route is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know about any accessibility needs when booking so we can ensure the best experience.

What happens when it rains?

The tour takes place along a covered pedestrian arcade and operates rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, we will contact you to reschedule at no additional charge.

What happens if I arrive late?

We strongly recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early. Late arrivals may not be able to join once the group has started, as setup and safety briefing are part of the experience. If you have any problems the day of your tour or think you may run late, please contact (929) 556-4472 and we will do everything we can to help.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes! Private tours are available for teams, events, and special occasions. They also allow us to tailor the experience to your group. For team-building groups, we can emphasize collaboration, communication, and creative problem-solving through customized challenges built into the experience. If you're looking for something more educational, we can lean into the history of graffiti and the surrounding area with a more guided, storytelling-focused approach. Or, if your group just wants to play, we can shift toward a more open, high-interaction experience with expanded gameplay elements.
